Anna Magnetto graduated in Classics at the University of Pisa (1992); she was undergraduate fellow (1988-1992) and PhD fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, and she obtained her PhD in Greek History in 1996. She did research activity at the Kommission für Alte Geschichte und Epigraphik des DAI of Munich (DAAD Stipendiat), the University of California, Berkeley (Fulbright visiting scholar), the École Pratique des Hautes Études of Paris (Marie Curie Fellowship). From 2004 to 2010 she was Assistant Professor of Greek History at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa (temporary position); since december 2011 she is a permanent Faculty member.
Research interests: Greek epigraphy, diplomacy in the Greek and Roman world, Greek economic history, Greek historiography.
